Deepest Sympathies to the Coleman family as especially to Georgia, who lost their beloved pony "Smithfields Bardot" tragically this week. Our thoughts are with you during this very hard time.

We will need pencillers ,rail stewards, gate stewards and timers, ideally 6 of each so that we can have half days each, canteen crew volunteers, members who are competing and can't provide a helper to nominate themselves as gear pack away people at the end of the day.I would like to organize this before the day, so we can run it as efficiently as possible. Let Ping know what you can do before the day via email lovelljaa88@bigpond.com

Thank you for all the help and support given by the members to run the gymkhana on Sunday. Big thanks to the canteen crew who always do a fabulous job, thanks to the ladies in the office, thanks to all the sponsors, thanks to all the riders, thanks to all the judges and a BIG thanks to the pencillers, especially the ladies that kept the groups in check for the formals. It was a hot day and you did an amazing job running back and forth from the trees to the rings.

PHOTO COMPETITION. If you haven't check out the fabulous entries for the photo comp yet go to the image gallery for a bo peep. The classes will be judged independently by an outside person however the Peoples Choice Award will be determined by how many views any particuliar photo gets in the website gallery. All entries accepted until the 30th of November so if you don't have any photos the Gymkhana this weekend will be a perfect oppurtunity. The prizes are too good to miss out on!

Certificate Testing 29th November. Also working bee prior to the showjumping competition the following day. Ping will be at pony club all day setting up so if you need to get your working bee hours up this would be a good time. See Ping on the day to see what you can do to help.

Program

Car Boot Sale 30th November 7am start $5 per car/trailer, horse related items only please.

END OF YEAR is fast approaching and that means Fancy Dress Break up Day and end of year presentation of trophies! This year Fancy Dress has a theme - dress up as something that starts with and E or and I, sounds tricky. There will be a program outlining the days activities posted shortly. Anyone interested in being on the committee or taking on an office bearer postition? AGM will take place on the break up day, all positions will be vacant so if you want to get more involved in the club now is the time to start thinking!

SPONSORS for trophies. We need two more sponsors for perpetual trophies that are in need of replacing at a cost $70 each. The trophy will be named after the sponsor. Also seeking sponsors for the replica trophies please contact Jacque Lovegrove 0417 229 221 if you are interested in sponsoring the end of year trophies.

The Gaming Commission has approved a $30,000 grant which will allow the building of a new equipment shed, a ride on mower and a large equipment trailer. A big thanks to our fund raising guru Keith Maitland and also the following people for their support; Ron Clarke Mayor, Jann Stuckey Member for Currumbin, Margaret May Member for Mc Pherson, Local Councillor Chris Robbins, Bruce Flick, Bev Humphries President of the Currumbin Valley Riding for the Disabled and lastly the Gambling Community Benefit Fund.

CONGRATULATIONS to Chloe Healy and Jessica Robbins whose team placed 3RD at the ZONE TEAMS DRESSAGE CHALLENGE at SOUTHPORT pony club over the weekend. The girls competed in the 12 and under age group which has fierce competition from all riders selected from all over Queensland. Great job girls no doubt you will be in first place before too long and get the rug!
