Next Rally Day 07 September - will be focusing on Certificate Work, Grids, Riding to Time & How to ride a Show Jump Course.  The Rally Day is going to be run by Ping Jaa, and will be focusing on helping our riders for our Up & Coming Show jump Competition on the Following Weekend the 14 September 2008.

All riders need to remember that at the Show jump Competition they will have to be in Full TPC Uniform, and that although they do not need to plait up, they are representing TPC, and presentation of a clean horse & tack is HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.  Our Olympians Plait up for their Showjumping, why not practice, and have a go for the Showjumping Day. We will need  Home Cooked Goodies for the Show Jump Competition. Program for Showjump is posted now on the calendar page.

We NEED DONATIONS FOR A RAFFLE TO BE HELD AT OUR SHOW JUMP COMPETITION - please contact Natalie if you would like to donate to the Raffle.  Anything horsey or no horsey will be accepted.

No new date for ODE - Cancelled for 2008 we just ran out of weekends, that did not clash with other Zone 2 Events.

New Gymkhana Date - 16 November 2008

ZONE 2 CAMP SCHOOL

Every year zone 2 holds a camp school at the Beaudesert Showgrounds. This year it is a little different, instead of 3 days of lessons there is only 2 followed by the South East Queensland (Zone 2) Championship Gymkhana also known as the John Franklin Memorial Gymkhana. There are links on the calendar page wiith more info on the camp school and the program for the gymkhana.

However the important part is to NOMINATE ASAP as there are only limited number of spaces available. Please nominate through the nominations secretary and include your INDEMITY form. There is a link on the calendar page for this as well. Your nominations for camp will not be accepted without the indemity form.

As spaces fill up very quickly please let the nomination secretary know you are interested and make arrangements to get your nominations to her ASAP. If you leave your envelope in the box at the club without letting her know you may well just miss out.

Its a great camp, lots of fun learning new things and making new friends from other clubs. Well worth the cold mornings!

PCAQ RULE CHANGES

more info

We have a member looking for a house sitter during September and over the Christmas period.  If you are interested drop us an eMail lynda.62@bigpond.net.au

Please see the "Official Documents" page for information regarding id requirements for our children.

Dogs on TPC Grounds

Dogs on grounds are viewed by PCAQ and the TPC committee as a potential safety issue.  However, we understand that some members may wish to bring their dogs onto the grounds for exercise etc and the committee has no wish to penalise responsible dog owners.  Accordingly, the committee has considered the issue of dogs on TPC grounds and we now confirm the Club's policy as follows:

1.    No dogs at all to be brought on to club grounds on any day on which an unofficial or official event is being held including rally days or clinics and RDA days (Friday and Saturday mornings).

2.    At all other times, dogs must be on a lead and under the control of their owner.  Any dogs wandering the grounds must be tied up and the owner (if known) will be notified to come and remove immediately.

All business's noted on this page are current club members.  If you wish to advertise your business here, please forward any documentation to shannidah@hotmail.com

 Vehicles on Club Grounds

We now have a lovely asphalt driveway.  When driving onto club grounds with or without floats please use the road as much as possible.  Some larger vehicles have driven off the road and caused some of the roadway to break away so please exercise care.

Also, if you wish to dispose of manure from your floats, please do not leave this in the car park area but carry it over to the manure pile by the yards.  Wheelbarrows and rakes are available in the gear shed.  We ask that you are thoughtful of the agistees and workers at our working bee who end up having to remove the manure left behind!!!!  We had approx 20 floats at the last rally day so you can imagine the "mess" left behind?

New Sand Arena

The committee is pleased to announce that TPC is now the proud owner of a sand surface arena!  Natalie has advised that the arena rides well when wet which is great news considering the current unreliable weather!

Again, please be considerate to all users and make sure you remove your horse's poo when using the arena!!

Additional Canteen Co-ordinators

A canteen co-ordinator is responsible for opening up and closing the canteen on a rally day/event. They will be assisted in running the canteen throughout the day by various volunteers.  We currently have 2 co-ordinators for the canteen and we are hoping to have a couple of extra volunteers so that this job can be shared and will mean that you will only need to be responsible for the canteen every 3 or 4 rally days or event days.

The canteen play a large part in the Club's fundraising and we really need to make sure we have this up and running to its full potential every rally day and event.

Also time spent as a co-ordinator can count towards your working-bee hours!!

So please, any parents or mature riders, contact either
Bronwyn Douglas( ph 5535 8554)
Michelle Kelly (ph 5522 5812) if you can help.
