Working bees

Friendly reminder - it is already halfway through the year and we would like to jog the memory of all members regarding the working bee commitment. Members are required to attend four working bees per year plus attend rostered days in the canteen. Grounds working bees are run and will be advertised on the TPC website and notice emails sent to members. The running of the canteen on a rally day is also considered a working bee.

Big thank you to Scott and Bronwyn Douglas for organizing the Pie and Peas night....to Roz Mercer for her secret recipe mushy peas , to the Newing family for the great jumping castle and to John Roberts for the Bonfire. It was enjoyed by all!

Following advice from the Zone Chief Instructor & PCAQ rules

Double bridles will be allowed at the Nerang Gymkhana for those riders familiar with & able to use them in a safe manner.

Medical Arm Bands
From 1/7/10 PCAQ have ruled that all riders competing in cross country during Hunter Trial or ODE MUST wear a medical arm band.  These are currently available from Horseland for $9.95.  No armband - you will be unable to ride in this part of the event.

Official Name of Horse
When competing at official events, you must use your horse's official/registered name and not pet or paddock name.

Pre-nomination at rally days
We are asking all members to pre-nominate their attendance at rally days.  This is to ensure that instructors are fully prepared for the number of members that will be attending as well as to ensure our canteen co-ordinators knows approximate numbers for catering. This will be on trial until the end of the year.  Members are asked to email chiefinstructor@tallebudgeraponyclub.com to confirm they will be attending no later than 5pm the Thursday before rally day.
Our instructors are extremely hard working and this will allow them to make sure that enough instructors are present on the day and the day's programme can be tailored to meet the numbers and training of those attending. But if for some reason you haven't nominated, you can still come a participate in the rally or in-house event.

Insurance for 2011 will increase for all clubs
EA instructors are not as yet covered under PCAQ insurance - any rider using an EA Instructor that is not approved as a special Level C Instructor will need to provide EA Insurance & membership (PCAQ still clarifying with insurance company).  Insurance will be posted on PCAQ website when totally clarified & approved.
